Balkanizovani burito * Balkanized Burrito



Ovo je sjajno i sito jelo koje možete napraviti od ostataka hrane. Nazvala sam ga 'Balkanizovani' zato što sam umesto tortilje upotrebila kore za pitu, a umesto ljutog meksičkog sosa, ljuti ajvar.

This is a great and filling meal that can be made from leftovers. I named it 'Balkanized' because I used filo pastry instead of tortillas and ajvar, traditional paprika salad, instead of hot Mexican sauce.



Sastojci:
Ingredients:

1 kora za pitu
po šaka:
cepkanog, pečenog mesa (svinjskog, pilećeg, goveđeg, ćurećeg...)
kuvanog crvenog pasulja 
seckanog praziluka
ajvara 
malo ulja

1 filo pastry sheet (the Balkan style 'kora', if you have Greek filo, use several sheets or make smaller burritos)
a handful of:
broken pieces of meat (pork, chicken, beef, turkey...)
boiled kidney beans
chopped leeks, the green bit
ajvar (if you don't have any, use chopped tomatoes and chili peppers, or any fresh salad you like)
a bit of oil



Staviti meso preko savijene kore, tako da oko 5 cm ostane slobodno s leve i desne strane. Potom dodavati sve ostale sastojke u slojevima.

Place meat over a folded filo sheet, and leave approximately 5 cm uncovered, to the left and right. Add all other ingredients in layers.


Saviti ivice s leve i desne strane preko fila, prebaciti deo kore ispred sebe preko fila, pa uviti u rolnu.

Fold the edges on the left and right over the filling, then fold the part of the filo close to you over the filling, and roll it up.


Staviti u zagrejan tiganj sa malo ulja i peći na umerenoj vatri i povremeno okretati. Kada porumeni sa svih strana, staviti na tanjir, preseći ukoso po sredini i poslužiti.

Place in a hot skillet with a bit of oil and bake at moderate temperature, turning the burrito occasionally. Once it gets golden brown all over, place on a plate, cut diagonally and serve.
